KissanAI joins NVIDIA Inception

Training a domain model is mostly a compute bill. This week ours got smaller: KissanAI has been accepted into the NVIDIA Inception program.

The acceptance covers compute credits and pricing that lower the cost of continuing to pre-train Dhenu on larger corpora, along with earlier access to the libraries NVIDIA is shipping for retrieval and serving, including TensorRT-LLM and the NeMo framework. It also opens a technical reviewer relationship with the NVIDIA AI team, which lets us trade benchmarks and architecture choices with engineers who have shipped this work at much larger scale.

Inception is not a funding round. What we are building, and who we are building it for, stays the same; the cost curve on the model work is what moves. Continued pre-training of the current Dhenu models on our Indian agriculture corpus is a real expense, and the program shortens the path to the next two checkpoints we have planned for Dhenu.

A particular thanks to the NVIDIA Inception team, who sat with our technical case and made the program move at a pace that startups appreciate.

We will share more from the work itself as the next Dhenu checkpoint comes out, including the cost comparisons and the architectural choices we made differently because the compute became cheaper. That is the part of these programs that matters most. The badge is the smaller story.
